They’re efficient and effective; sophisticated, stable, and secure. They need to be. Information technology tools and services play a central role in the successful operation of the Office of the State Treasurer (OST), and all of Washington state government.

Our custom-developed Treasury Management System (TM$) integrates data across internal business functions, provides for data interfaces with state agencies and the financial industry, and presents a user-friendly web access for state and local government entities to centralized banking and treasury services.

OST’s information services division works across the state government enterprise to foster greater reliance on shared services. The division’s objectives are to:

  • Provide ongoing professional support for the critical functions of the Treasury;
  • Maintain and enhance an architecture that supports data and application sharing, connectivity, and security;
  • Keep agency technology current and in alignment with the Office of the Chief Information Officer’s (OCIO) technology policies and standards; and
  • Establish, maintain and test procedures for timely, organized response to potential business interruptions – so our customers can always rely on the vital financial services OST’s team delivers.
