Employment opportunities at the Office of the Washington State Treasurer
About Us
As a small state agency, the Treasurer’s Office normally operates with a staffing level of about 70 employees. We take pride in being a family-friendly and healthy work environment. We offer flexible work schedules and most of our staff maintain a hybrid remote work schedule.
We’re proud that when people join our staff, they typically end up working a long and fulfilling career with the office. Although our staff turnover and job openings can be minimal at times, we do have the need to recruit and fill positions. We look for and anticipate that new employees will enrich our current workforce through their knowledge, skills, competencies, diversity, and work experience.
As new employees establish their careers with the OST, we expect that they will find the small agency atmosphere and culture rewarding and pleasant. We hope this leads to them staying a while! Over the years we have had several employees end with a total of 40-plus years of state service, with most of their tenure working at the Treasurer’s Office. We also strive to provide career development and growth. We look for opportunities to provide promotions to our current internal staff where skills and competencies are a match.
If we do not have any openings, please visit the Washington State Careers page at www.careers.wa.gov for information regarding other employment opportunities with the State of Washington.
