Class Objectives: 
After taking this class, the participants will be able to:

  • Understand what a corporate note is
  • Describe credit risk and the factors that influence the level and volatility of yield spreads
  • Understand credit ratings and their strengths and weaknesses
  • Understand what corporate note credit analysis looks like
  • Understand the logic of corporate bond portfolio management

Course materials assumes basic familiarity with bonds.

Course Description:   The Investing in Corporate credit class includes lecture and discussions on a broad overview of the important elements of corporate portfolio management.  The day will bring beginners up to speed as well as provide in depth discussions of credit analysis and portfolio management.
